7.30pm        Louder Is Not Always Clearer

Jonny is a teacher, a workshop leader and an avid football fan.  He’s just become a father.  His friends say that he’s outgoing and that he loves music, festivals and nightclubs.  Jonny is deaf.  He was born deaf to hearing parents who were afraid that disability would stigmatise their son and the family.

Louder Is Not Always Clearer is an honest portrayal of the vulnerability of a deaf man, created and performed by a deaf man.  For a hearing audience it is an illuminating and emotional experience. For deaf audience members the show is a familiar tale of misunderstanding and isolation.

For all audiences it is a humorous and at times moving story of one man’s attempt to cope, to fit in and be accepted.

Tickets: £5

7.30pm      Steamy Windows – Tina Turner Tribute

THE MUSICAL JOURNEY PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE QUEEN OF ROCK – MISS TINA TURNER

Steamy Windows is a smash hit theatre production that is widely accepted as the foremost tribute show to Tina Turner. This high energy production is performed by the Award Winning Miss Julia Martin, and is one of Julia’s longest running tribute shows, performed around the world, with standing ovations and repeat bookings on every occasion. From its conception 20 years ago, this incredibly authentic show captures the image, the stage presence, the legs and most importantly the voice of this great rock legend. Julia in a recent interview commented… ‘I have always had a love for Rock Music and Tina has been one of my idols for over 20 years, she is one of the few tribute characters that I have yet to meet in person and I think Tina’s life story is simply inspiring. I have built my theatre show around Tina’s sensational live performances, with all the music being individually produced to capture the ‘energy and beat’ of a Live Tina concert, and it certainly adds an extra layer to my performance.
